City of Newcastle
Newcastle is governed be a 7 member City Council, which includes Mayor Jean Garber.  John Starbard is the City Manager, a position appointed by the council.  More information can be found at the city's website: www.ci.newcastle.wa.us
 
King County
Newcastle is in District 6 of King County, represented by King County Councilmember Regan Dunn.  In 2006, the current 13 Districts will be reduced to 9.  To see a map of the new districts, follow this link:  www.metrokc.gov/council/districting/maps.htm.  Newcastle will be in District 9 when the changes go into effect.
