As we all begin to transition out of summer, there are a few
upcoming Chamber events to direct your attention:
*Our
next Chamber Lunch will be September 8th. Key Bank and Porter Jensen
Jewelers will be present to speak as we look to support the two newest
businesses in Newcastle.
*Newcastle
Days September 10 & 11. Please stop by the Newcastle Chamber sponsored beer
and wine garden on September 11 from 11:00-7:00.
* The
Issaquah Chamber is having a series of business seminars, beginning September
9, that they have extended member pricing to our members. They sound very
informative.

| Join Us for Lunch - September 8th, 2010 | Join us for lunch at Tapatio's. Our guest speakers will be from Key Bank and Porter Jensen Jewelers - two of Newcastle's newest businesses.
Jeffrey Lorsch of Evergreen State Mortgage will be providing the door prize this month.

Mark your calendars for future lunch meetings: October 13th and November 10th. Unless otherwise noted, all Lunch meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 11:00am - 12:15pm at Tapatio Mexican Grill in Newcastle. Cost is $20 per person which is collected on arrival and includes program, lunch, beverage, tax and gratuity. Check our Calendar on the Chamber Website for updates and further details. Join fellow chamber members at 5:30 for an after hours event at The Rusty Putter at the Golf Club at Newcastle. Cost is $10 per person and includes a round of mini-golf, light appetizers and
prizes. Non-members and all ages are welcome! |
| August 28th - Newcastle 5K Run/Walk |
Registration for the 2nd Annual Newcastle 5K Run/Walk presented by Valley Medical Center is now open. The event starts and finishes in Lake Boren Park. Sign-ups are available at www.active.com or in-store at The Balanced Athlete in the Renton Landing. Mail-in registration is also available with details at www.newcastle5k.com . Newcastle Days September 10th & 11th!

Sponsored by Valley Medical and organized by many volunteers! This year Newcastle Days will begin with a Kick-Off Sidewalk Sale event where participating businesses will be offering specials from 3pm to 7pm on Friday, September 10th, 2010. The Newcastle Chamber will be sponsoring a beer and wine garden on Saturday, September 11th from 11:00am to 7:00pm.

Golf Club at Newcastle Earns Audubon Certification
|
The Golf Club at Newcastle has achieved designation as a "Certified
Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary." The designation, a program of
Audubon International, recognizes courses that protect the
environment, conserve natural resources, and provide wildlife
habitats. The Golf Club at Newcastle, part of the Oki Golf
collection, is the 12th course in Washington and the 773rd in the
